Ullapool

Bettyhill to Dunnet Head

Then a stop in  in Bettyhill is recommended, since we notice a fantastic beach, which has to be visited.

Why make holidays in Southern Europe? We feel like being on a Caribic island.

A marvellous beach and nobody else to be seen.

After a few miles more we finally reach Kirtomy. Everything looks rustic and romantic.

We have to walk carefully since partly the way is going deeply down. We are not sure if a downfall of about 30 meters is advisable.

We pass Armadale and a few miles further we turn to the left at Strathy.

Quite lonely here, some sheep are wondering what we are doing here.

After a few miles walk we reach Strathy Point.

We pass the beaches of Strathy, Melwich and Sandside Bay and finally reach Thurso

In the supermarket we replenish food and enjoy shopping.

Now its time for cinema. This week the latest 'Harry Potter' Movie was released.

We really enjoy ourselves.

Sure Dunnet Bay this is one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland.

In a distance Dunnet Head - our distination - is to be seen.

Time for a bath before we continue our journey.

The atlantic ocean is ahead us - a fantastic view.

Finally we reach Dunnet Head, the most northerly part of Britain.

Near Brough we watch the sun going down behind Dunnet Bay...
